Roundup: The Best 10 Commercials From Last Night's Game

For a lot of people, the best part about the Super Bowl isn't the football or the halftime show: It's the totally outrageous commercials! Here are our top 10 favorite marquee ads from last night's big game:

1.Tang: Neil Apestrong Gorilla-Flavored Tang

William Shatner makes an appearance in this hilarious commercial for the popular gorilla-flavored soft drink, his umpteenth surprise cameo in Super Bowl commercial history. We could not stop laughing as Captain Kirk tried to teach a gorilla in a spacesuit how to do a William Shatner impression!

2. Rob Zombie’s House Of 1,000 Pancakes: The Devil’s Breadsticks

The breakfast chain’s TV spots have become a beloved mainstay of Super Bowl Sunday, and this year was no different, with an evocative ad highlighting their dinner offerings—including a whole new Italian menu! Actor Bill Moseley always looks like he’s having fun, but watch out or you’ll end up like the family in the commercial!

3. Super Bowl XXVIII (48): Teaser

Even in the midst of Super Bowl XXVII, we couldn't help but get excited to see the ad for next year's big game. The Bengals-Giants matchup was enough to whet anyone's appetite, and the halftime show featuring a reinvigorated Sinead O'Connor—who will be riding a wave of popularity after releasing a new hit record—should be the capper to an amazing game day. We almost can’t wait a whole year to see New York win, 30 to 6!

4. Hot Fish: Super Bowl Special!

We have to admit it we love Hot Fish, and this new ad has us saying "Ooo-La-Lamprey!" The Super Bowl week specials—Baltimore Whipped Crab and San Francisco Dolphin Frappe—look good enough to be on the menu all year round, and our mouths were salivating over all of our old favorites. After all, who can say no to Hot Fish?

5. Ford: Atlantic Tough Ford Nautilus

We can’t wait to drive straight into the ocean after Ford released this ad for its new half-ton pick-up with gills. Watching this truck rumble around the ocean floor with a full payload before bursting through the surface like a great white shark was a visual image no other car company could match.

6. Tom's Of Maine: Leather Daddy

Tom’s of Maine rolled out its new line of natural toothpaste with this striking ad, in which a muscular man wearing nothing but a studded collar, chest straps, and a snug testicle pouch holds up the product and puts it to work. Will it sell more toothpaste? Who can say? But it’s definitely got us talking!

7. Alpha-Bits: The Film

In an incredibly bold move, Post Cereals spent over $240 million on a half hour short film for Alpha Bits cereal. The advertisement not only ate up several full commercial breaks, but also a significant portion of the third quarter.

8. Taster's Choice: Where are they now?

Viewers of the Super Bowl were rewarded with the long-awaited 'Where Are They Now?' episode of the Taster's Choice Couple campaign, which has lain dormant for years. Spoiler Alert: They're both dead. But the good news—they were buried in cemetery plots right next to each other! May the romance live on!

9. Buffalo Wild Wings: Nuclear Butt Wings

One of this year’s most dynamic ads, Buffalo Wild Wings' spot for their new Nuclear Butt Wings—the only appetizers prepared specifically for you anus—really captures the excitement of cramming spicy foods directly into your rectum! Mmm-mmm! We can’t wait to try them with the Cool Ranch Enema!

10. Richard Dreyfuss: Richard Dreyfuss

The direct, clean simplicity of this spot promoting Richard Dreyfuss’ presence on Earth as a living, breathing human being is extremely effective in getting its message across. We won’t forget that Richard Dreyfuss exists anytime soon!
