News Breakdown: FAA Opens Review of Boeing Dreamliner

Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner passenger jet has been plagued with problems. Here are some of the questions you may have about the carbon fiber jumbo aircraft:
Who would design an airplane that was always on fire?
While there have been some unfortunate incidents involving small fires on board, it is not “always on fire.” But I suppose the answer would be Boeing.
It’s the craziest thing. I was supposed to be on that flight!
You seem to be referring to an unrelated plane crash. Despite its series of problems, the 787 Dreamliner has not crashed and you were not almost on it.
Would things improve if we went to the 797?
That's just increasing the numeral by ten, something that traditionally doesn't improve aviation safety.
What if we just took ten seats out of the 787 so if it crashed I could say my suggestion saved the lives of ten people?
Or Boeing could improve the Dreamliner to reduce the chances of further fires or other accidents. Less heroic on your part, sure, but perhaps more effective.
Do you have to be asleep to be a passenger on the Dreamliner?
No, the Dreamliner is just a name, though some people uncomfortable with flying may prefer to sleep while on board.
